I’d been talking to Mister K about buying a new wand. We do have one, but it’s of a generic style and not as powerful as some I’ve seen. He said he would think about it and get back to me.
Yesterday he called to tell me he bought one and I could expect it to be delivered to the door. After waiting all day, hanging at the edge of my seat, it finally arrived!
Ripping into the package with the fervor of a child on Christmas morning, I tore out the packaging paper in a frenzy. At the bottom of a bigger box, sat a smaller one. A much smaller one.
Thinking something was amiss, I opened it gingerly and emptied the contents into my waiting hand, and out came this!
At the bottom was a card written in his familiar messy scrawl that said,
April Fools!
He thinks he’s so clever!
But he did in fact buy me wand, it’s just of the miniature variety. After a charge, I was pleased to note that it had all the speeds and modes of a full sized wand simply in smaller package.
Well, jokes on him! This one fits in my purse and I can take it anywhere!

We will have to try a smaller one. We have a very old, but still working plug in Hitachi Magic Wand and now a rechargeable version of the Magic Wand. We even have a second plug in one still in the box unused. We heard they were going to stop making them so we bought a spare. All they did is take the Hitachi name off of them. Both the plug in and the rechargeable work great, but they are big and a bit heavy. The effectiveness outweighs the size. But, now you have me curious…
Lovehoney makes the mini. I have a generic one from Amazon and the mini is 10 times more powerful. Plus the size is easy to conceal.
I do love the Hitachi, but you’re right about them being bulky and heavy. They’re also expensive compared to what’s available now.
Doxy wands are amazing I’m told. But again, a bit big.

Try the Palm Power vibrator. It’s small, lightweight and pretty quiet. It also has attachments and is quite powerful for its size. We wore out our first one and are on our second one now… lol
