We’ve all had those fantasies. You know the ones. You’re walking down the street and your favorite musician walks towards you and is entranced by your attractiveness, whisking you off into the sunset. No? Me neither! Although I have fantasised about sleeping with a musician more than once.

The prompt for Musically Ranting #6 -Sleeping with the Musician, held a lot of interest for me, but I had a difficult time thinking of just one. As my mantra is variety is the spice of life, it seems I need that variety in my fantasies as well.

I talked with Mister K a bit about this topic, starting with, “if you could sleep with one musician who would you choose?” He thought about it, but not long enough if you ask me. There are as many musicians as there are songs. I thought he was finished rather fast (haha!). He told me that Britney Spears would be at the top of his list. I think I looked at him like he had two heads. Britney Spears? Really? Maybe it’s the “hit me baby, one more time”, that she’s so famous for?

His answer did not help me a whole lot and I still had a hard time choosing. Eventually, I decided that I didn’t have to pick just one. It’s my fantasy, I can have as many as I want.

I enjoy many genres of music, so I have a large variety to choose from, but these are my top 3.

Male

Adam Levine

Look at him! Just look at him! He’s tall, dark, handsome, and covered in tattoos. Need I say more?

But that’s not why I would jump at the chance to jump him. He’s talented, dabbling in many different genres of music and he loves to collaborate with other performers. Adam has been seen on comedy shows and doesn’t like to fit inside a pre-determined box, artistically speaking. He’s an activist for LGBTQ rights and treats his wife like the goddess she is. The sounds of his voice is almost pornographic and if sex wasn’t an option, I’d just ask him to talk to me, and maybe record it for future use… Or I could just listen to “Lips on You” again and again…

Maggie Rogers

Maggie is an American girl through and through. Her singing style, her fashion sense, and her perception of nonchalance are very intriguing to me. In her mid-twenties, she’s achieved more than some hope for in a lifetime. Maggie is an extremely talented woman with her toes dabbled in many different pots but songwriting is her profession of choice. Her voice just reaches out to me. If you’ve never heard her, take a listen to “Light On”.

She has a unique benign condition called Synesthesia, which makes it so she can perceive more than one sense at a time. For her, she can see colors when she hears music. Just imagine what a sensual play session could create…

Couple

Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love

I knew I would have to choose a couple. Threesomes are something that I have enjoyed in the past, and of course, fill my fantasies. Many musical couples scream sex but no more than this one. Courtney is just crazy enough to keep things interesting and Kurt had that brooding, bad boy appeal that still makes me weak in the knees. I do not know of them performing together as Cobain was the lead for Nirvana and Love for the grunge band Hole. If you’re unfamiliar with their music, take a listen to “Doll Parts” by Hole, or “About a Girl” by Nirvana.

In a biography I read about Cobain, it was said that when the couple first met, Love was dating Smashing Pumpkins lead singer, Billy Corgan. Corgan and Love were in a Seattle club and Kurt walked in, took one look at Courtney, and bent her over the nearest table, taking her right there in front of everyone. She married him shortly later. That is the kind of passion I can get behind, or umm, under.

This is probably a good place to mention that it is rumored that Love killed Cobain, although it was publicly deemed a suicide.

I don’t think I’ll meet any professional musicians any time soon, but Mister K plays the saxophone and really, there’s nothing sexier than the sax!
