Sohimi Vibrating Clit Sucker – Product Review

Sohimi Vibrating Clit Sucker – Product Review

**Sponsored Post

While I don’t use sex toys often, I’m delighted the lovely folks at Sohimi approached me to do a product review. I want to start by saying that I prefer the real thing. Nothing compares to a cock, tongue, or fingers; living flesh always feels better than silicone, and I enjoy the intimacy of sex. Nevertheless, as someone who formerly sold sex toys in people’s homes, I know that variety is the spice of life and with that in mind I was up for the opportunity to try something new. But therein laid a problem. I have no shortage of experience with dildos and vibrators. I’ve seen (and tested) all shapes and sizes and was not eager for one of those.

Choosing a Toy

So, I browsed Sohimi’s online catalogue, and ultimately decided on the Rose Vibrating Clit sucker. It’s been years since my days of slinging sex toys, and what drew me to it first was the design. Not your typical-looking toy being shaped like a rose, it sits upright so it can blend into your décor, meaning it doesn’t have to be hidden. As a mom, that’s a huge selling feature. While I try to keep open dialogue about sex and masturbation in my home, I don’t want my toys to be blatantly in my children’s faces either. But this cute toy can sit on my dresser, and no one, big or small, is any the wiser.

The Fine Print

The Sohimi Rose Vibrating Clit sucker is available in 3 colors: red, pink (baby pink) and purple, so you can choose one that best suits you. I choose red (which is more like a hot pink), because roses are red, and also, it matches the colour scheme of my bedroom.

I also appreciate that it’s marketed for more than masturbation. The online catalogue advertises it as having a sucking feature good for simulated oral sex, nipple play, anal play and couples play, making it a useful little toy. Between being pretty and multi-functional, I was super excited and looking forward to the task.

The Unveiling

Arriving a few weeks after I agreed to do the review, it came packaged like any other purchase you’d buy online. I’ve learned that Sohimi uses the same shipping plan as Amazon, so it did not surprise me to find it was packaged similarly. With just my first and last name and address, a return address and a brief description that labeled it as a massager; I didn’t have to hide from the mailman while he delivered it (which is good, considering I speak to him most days and give him a card each Christmas).

The box took a bit of a beating in the delivery process, but it traveled approximately 9000 kms to get to my door. I’d be a little worse for wear, too. The contents did not suffer any damages though, even if the box did. They packed the toy inside the box in its own bag, alongside an instruction manual and a USB charging cable.

It’s All in the Details

The manual said the USB charger would plug into any USB compatible outlet (car, computer, wall, or power bank) and a full charge would take approximately 75 minutes for 90 minutes of continuous use (good luck with that). Upon plugging it in and attaching the Rose Vibrating Clit sucker to the charging base via magnetic nodules, the light on the power switch started flashing. I checked it on it excitedly many times, but after the suggested hours and fifteen minutes, the flashing had stopped, the light a solid red.

Testing the Sohimi Vibrating Clit Sucker

Next came the fun part. Mister K and I have an agreement that doesn’t allow me to masturbate freely, so this was a great opportunity to get in some sexy D/s time. So, instead of trying it solo, Mister K said he wanted to watch. A sultry proposition if there ever was one.

With nothing to lose, and orgasms to gain, I turned it on by holding down the power button. It came to life with a soft vibration, which was pleasantly quiet. Switching through the settings, I found it had a low, medium and high frequencies, as well as 7 variations, which was a delightful surprise. Since all the morse code settings don’t do anything for me, I thought it best to set it at low for my first time..

Feel the Vibrations

Testing it on my finger, I noted the vibrations became louder as I covered the suction hole. It didn’t feel like it sucked my finger, like I thought it would, but a clit is much more sensitive than a finger. So, it was time to put it to the test.

Laying back, I pulled my labia apart and tentatively pressed it to my clit. The vibrations were undeniable but what was most noticeable was, instead of vibrating like a vibrator, where it sort of bounces on top of your flesh, the Rose Vibrating Clit Sucker surrounds the clitoris’ glans. Once placed, it pulled my clit into it. Much more than the attempt on my finger would have suggested. Also, I could feel cool air being sucked in around my flesh, something I also didn’t notice on my finger.

Within seconds, I could feel the first waves of orgasm coming over me, but as I was being watched by Mister K, I started thinking, and that pulled me back from the edge. Turning it to the medium setting did the trick though, and within literal minutes, I was falling into orgasmic bliss.

My Observations

So, I’ve already mentioned that it was unlike a vibrator because it surrounds the clit, rather than sitting on top. What I was not prepared for was how much it pulled the glans out from under the clitoral hood. I mean, my clit was the hardest little pearl it’s ever been. Even after climaxing, it was elongated, sensitive and primed for whatever erotic bliss I could have had planned. But of course, I didn’t want my first and only experience with it to be the deciding factor.

After some negotiating and the promise of sexual favors at a later date, Mister K gave me permission to try it independently. And my oh my, am I glad I did.

The Second Time Around

The second time I tried it, as you know I had permission, I didn’t intend to use the Rose Clit Sucker. I chose a wand because I just wanted to get off. No build up, no testing or trials, no thinking. Just an orgasm and on with my day (a waste of permission to masturbate I know, but it gets better). But that didn’t happen. As I may have said, vibrators kind of just rest on top of the clit and bounce away. Yes, they feel good. Yes, they do the job. But on this day, it just wasn’t working. What are you going to do? Change the toy, that’s what.

Grabbing the Sohimi Vibrating Clit sucker, which still had plenty of power left because I had only used it for a few minutes of of the 90 I charged it for, I turned it on. Leaving it on low, I pressed it gently to my clit and instead of minutes, within seconds, I was there. Maybe it was the plethora of previous vibrations, maybe it’s just that good. I don’t know, but it did the trick.

Third Times a Charm?

So, I couldn’t very well give you a review based on those two experiences, so I tried it a third time. The online catalogue says it’s waterproof, so the shower was where I took it. I want to take a moment here to mention that trying a sex toy that has proven itself already to a wet slippery area is not a good idea. But I like to live dangerously.

After a thorough wash of body and hair, I had plenty of hot water left, so out came my new friend the Rose Vibrating Clit Sucker. I left it on low this time as well, because I learned in the past that it works, and I didn’t want to collapse and have to call an ambulance. Not that I mind showing off my body and kinky side, but only on my terms.

I was expecting the amazing sensations this time, so I wasn’t as fast to climax. But it was still within 5 minutes. The way it encompasses the clit is an experience that I don’t think even oral sex creates. Unlike other toys, it leaves you satisfied as well. It’s not so fast that it just builds you up and then pushes you over, nor does it have an overly slow build-up. It may just be the perfect design (for me anyway).

My Honest Opinion

As a woman whose vulva is fleshy, their clit hidden behind a soft encasement, I’ve learned that I need to pull my clitoral hood back in order to stimulate it correctly. Not always, but most of the time. The Sohimi Rose Vibrating Clit Sucker doesn’t need me to do that. It does it itself. In fact, I think that if I was to pull my hood back and let it attach to my exposed button, I would have an aneurysm.

So, do I recommend it? 100% yes. Even if you find it’s not your thing, it has so many uses that it’s bound to be good for something. As for me, I have a new favourite toy, and Mister K loves that it exposes my sensitive nub to his fingers and tongue. I may not always use it for masturbation, choosing instead to use it as foreplay, but I know that no matter the use, it’ll get the job done.

  1. My sucking toy – either the Womanizer or the Lelo – is what I grab when I want to get off quickly. It works every time! And this toy is beautiful too 🙂
