Hindsight

In hindsight, maybe you would have done things differently.

“Is that what you’re wearing?” he queries with a grin.

“Yes, what’s wrong with it?” I ask, checking my reflection in the mirror.

“Nothing, it’s just a bit… sheer.”

“That’s the point. It’s so you can see all my… assets.” Turning, I give him a smile.

“Assets sometimes become liabilities.” He replies, stalking toward me. I back up, my assets connecting with the countertop.

“Only if they’re not maintained,” comes my cheeky reply, topped with a smirk. “If you take care of them, the value only grows.”

“Oh, I’ll take care of them alright.”

Dodging his extended arm, I sneak past him, giggling as I run away.

He caught me two steps later and maintained all my assets thoroughly after punishing me for being smart mouthed. In hindsight, I still think it was the best option 😉

I’ve been told that hindsight is 20/20.
