Love Notes and Diamonds

Love Notes and Diamonds

Love Note Day usually falls on September 26. As an unofficial holiday it is celebrated by writing notes full of love to the special person(s) in your life. Mister K isn’t much of a romantic, nor does he enjoy writing. One thing he does enjoy though is rope. So, when MLSlavepuppet gave us the timely prompt for the Heart Harness, we were happy to be able to join in.

September 26 arrived and it was quite chilly, with 13 degrees Celsius(55 F) as a high. I have strict rules about when I turn the furnace on in the Autumn and each year we wait until October. My theory is we’re Canadian, if you’re cold, get a sweater. That being said, it was a tit bit nipply for rope. But mama has to follow the rules too, so we ended up tying the rope in more clothing than usual.

The Heart Harness is super simple and could easily be self-tied. It only requires a portion of a 10 meter (30ft) rope, so of course we had rope left over. Mister K doesn’t like to have loose ends (in all aspects of life) and therefore needed to be creative to use the remainder. He never fails to amaze me with his creativity, the left over rope was put to good use.

The front was clean and simple. Mister K was able to complete a built in collar as well as a crotch rope. When he was finished I was happy with what he had completed, but asked what had taken so long, it seemed like he has been tying for quite a long time. Then he showed me a picture of the back and I was reminded not to question my Dom.

I thought it looked amazing and loved that it left a “tail” to be tugged. The use of two ropes added some extra flair as well.

Usually we would do more than one tie, but it was so cold we just wanted to jump into our warm bed with our naked bodies touching each other. Can you blame us? I appreciated the session, but it’s just not the same with clothes.

The next morning the sun was shining brightly and it was already warmer than the previous day. We had some free time and having seen a tutorial for the Gem Harness we thought we’d give it a go.

This Gem Harness also took a single 10 meter (30ft) rope, but unlike the previous Harness, there was a lot less rope remaining. The intricate diamond weave in the front is not complicated but certainly beautiful. I particularly like how it sits across the axilla (armpit) area. Some harnesses apply a lot of pressure here or cause a “fat bulge”. This one sat quite nicely though and was extremely comfortable.

The Gem Harness could easily be worn under (or over) clothes and for a lengthy duration. The back also sat flat, limiting any pressure that may be put on the spine from the few knots placed there. I wore it while walking the dog, so I could keep it on a little bit longer 🙂

I’m secretly a bit thankful for the cold. We got to celebrate Love Note Day two days in a row, and I even got a diamond 😉 Sometimes you just have to enjoy the little things.

Please remember to keep safety scissors on hand any and every time you are participating in bondage. Rope can be replaced, people and limbs cannot. Also, rope should be snug, not tight. Any numbness, tingling or cold sensations are a sign of loss of circulation and should end all play.

As always, play should be safe, sane and consensual.

Happy Tying!

  1. Oh wow. That is such a creative way to use the leftover rope. It looks absolutely beautiful. He makes art. I honestly think this may be my favourite i’ve seen of you so far!

Also damn you for doing the diamond harness! That’s on my list of future prompts! And again, it looks so beautiful. Your pictures with rope are so inspiring to me.

I love how you chose to tie on love letter day. It’s probably a way better alternative to writing that love letter, especially if you are together.

    1. Oh, you’re so sweet! He does have an eye for symmetry 🙂
You should still do the diamond harness prompt, then I can find something new or make one up 🙂 it’s super easy, so a great prompt idea!
We have never celebrated valentines day so love note day was a great thing for us to particpate in. I’m glad we can create some inspiration:)

I'd love to hear from you!
