Tangerine Sunset

Tangerine Sunset

Under the tangerine sunset, knees pressed into the sand, you lift my chiffon sweater. My eyes are sealed tight. In nervousness and suppressed excitement. Pulling your hand back, it comes down with a smack.

The reverberations echo into the distance. Gull’s cry in response, taking flight. Again, your hand collides, and again. Until my flesh glows brighter than the setting sun.

When my whimpers turn to moans, you slide inside, hot and heavy. Pushing back, I accept more, begging for you.

Words slip from your lips, filling the void between our moans. Some sound like prayer, others like a blessing.

Marie Rebel, who delights me each week with 100 word flash fiction stories, inspired this 100 word story.

For an added challenge, I accepted the challenge from Brigit to include the words Tangerine, Chiffon and Blessing. If you’ve never written a 100 word story, it’s quite the feat. Try it!
