I Offer my Hand and Gift it to You

I Offer my Hand and Gift it to You

I offer my hand and gift it to you,
with the hope that you'll lead the way.
That I may walk beside you, my head held high,
Be it the dead of night or the height of day.

I have nothing of greatness to offer you,
but myself, and the promise to follow.
A desire to kneel, the need to please,
and words I hope don't appear hollow.

There's only one that thing I ask of you,
it's that you don't lead me astray.
That you'll take my hand, your head held high,
and walk with me as we discover our way.

I offer you this leash and gift it to you,
a symbol of courage and surrender.
so that I may follow wherever you go,
your submissive and you, my defender.
