All Dressed Up
If you’ve read my other posts in Naughty Knots, you’ll know that Mister K and I love rope play. If you haven’t, you’re about to find out just how much. I’ve been following the prompts from MLSlavepuppets #TieMeUpTuesday meme, and this week was What to Wear to a Party? You can see her post here. In the prompt ML uses the Karada Dress as an option so I decided to go with that as well.
I’ve worn rope before, to parties or under my clothing. I enjoy the snugness of it, and think it’s a great accessory to any outfit. Even bra companies have started using strappy designs to lure the eyes to the clevage, or backless shirts with criss-cross patterns sewn in. Legging are now often found open at the sides, laces tying it all together. So why not rope?
The idea made me think of how to incorporate rope into an outfit, or even better, how to make rope the entire outfit. When I thought of parties, I thought of dimmed areas with black lights and immediately knew I needed to try a glow-in-the-dark rope.
Mister K and I found one at our local hardware store. It is a 3/8″ polypropylene braided rope, bright green with a black strand weaved in. It was extremely utilitarian, but it was the best I could do with limited time. You can purchase glow in the dark paracord that is made for bondage, but I haven’t found an actual rope yet.
The Karada Dress requires one 10m rope (35 ft or so), but of course the one we bought was 15.2m (50′). It was needed to cover more than just my torso as it was for an outfit, so the extra 20 ft worked well.

As you can see, it doesn’t bend as well as other rope specifically made for rope play, but the purpose was achieved. It kept the uniform placement that we were hoping for, but I was really excited to see if it would glow in the dark. I let the rope stay in a sunny spot for most of the day and then made sure to have it tied in a well lit area. The result was better than I expected 🙂
I’ll be searching for a more play friendly rope. I’ve even found bondage rope that is made from neon wiring, and I’ll be buying some soon 🙂
This image was taken in a completely dark room. But I found the effect worked just as well with a black light. Click on the picture for a better look.
So after all of that fun, I thought of parties that needed a little more dressing up or were in a well lit area. Once again, we used the 100 ft rope from the Hip Harness prompt. It is a cotton, vinyl blend and doesn’t have a lot of stretch to it, which is nice when you need it to stand up to movement and extended amounts of time. It is a lot of rope to pull through and took a while, but I was quite happy with the results. Mister K thought a thicker rope would be better, but I disagree. I’m a small woman and a thicker rope would have looked chunky in my opinion.

After that was all tied, I asked Mister K how I could make it a more formal form of dress. We hummed and hawed thinking about it and eventually I remembered this sheer skirt that came with a set of lingerie. I don’t often use it as it gets in the way for most of our scenes, but today I had found the perfect use.
The effect of the sheer skirt was quite pleasant. I thought it looked very elegant and I can’t wait to wear again. Click to see the full image.
When I had first discussed the prompt with Mister K, I made him aware that I wanted to wear the rope and nothing else (except the sheer skirt). He indulged me and thought that some fancy knots would do the trick. I have to say, he was right, as usual.
This knot is called a Flower Knot. It uses a single rope which was important as the rope was running along each side of my torso. You can see the tutorial here.
For my nether region he used two Double Coin knots, tutorial here. It covers the area, but also applies a little stimulation. The knots were placed just below my clit and covered things well. For the sake of the prompt I wore panties as we keep our rope for play and rope for show seperate. Cleaning rope is a long process and drying 100ft, would probably make me not love rope so much anymore. It can take a lot of retwisting to get it all back in shape. Do NOT recommend!

Mister K still had a bit of rope left over at the end. As my Dom, he likes to make me aware that I am wearing his rope. To keep me on my toes (literally) he wrapped the remaining rope around each toe and coiled the rope along itself, leaving enough left over for a loop. This gave him a place to tie the rope to a structure or a piece of equipment, but also kept me aware we were in scene 🙂
The rope between the toes is awkward at first, but I got used to it. Most importantly, it looked nice. Not quite like a pair of stilletos, but nice enough for an event.

The entire experiment turned out really well, and made me think of all the other fun things I could be doing with rope. More on that later.
While I love wearing rope, my favorite thing to wear is the marks it leaves behind.
Watch for my next post for Naughty Knots. I’ve done the Karada body skirt, and the lightening harness, but made it more unique. Like you expected any less.
Happy Tying!

Wow!! Some great rope work. Going to an event wearing only rope or rope with see through additions sounds very exciting. Meeting someone at such an event dressed like this would have Angus pushing at the bars of his cage.
Poor Angus! Haha!
🙂
This is some great rope work! Love how you went from ‘party to party’ 🙂
I have to say, the toe tie did make me wiggle my toes. I don’t like to feel something between my toes at all. But I think when ‘in scene’, it might be something I will just accept.
Rebel xox
There is so much detail in this so it was really helpful. We always mean to try more rope play and I really like the idea of wearing a harness out to an event. Who knows, maybe one day! missy x
I really miss events 🙁
We don’t really go to events. We have been to a couple but not many. Do you go to a lot? x
We try to get out once a month. We also attend a rope night and help with local classes when we can 🙂
That sounds like fun 😊
WOW! All this is well just WOW! You’re a lucky lucky lady 😊😊
Take care
Sweet x
I sure am!
xo
😊
WOW, what an amazing tie and a fantastic article about how you created it. I love the clit knots very naughty but nice. Thanks for sharing, I really need to up my game.
I’m sure your game is just fine 😉
Thanks for reading!
You guys are so so good at this. I love seeing your creations every time, it’s amazing. I could only hope to be able to do this or find a rigger haha! I like that you chose for the outfit to be completely out of rope apart from the skirt, which works so well because it is see through too! I love the knots on your nipples and also by the way, that’s so cool, with the glow in the dark at the start of your post.
Also LOL at the remark on how it’s a pain to clean rope. I couldn’t agree more so wearing panties seems like the way to go haha
I love reading the bit about how he likes to make you aware that you’re wearing this rope. This made me smile, and must feel good, I imagine! Thank you for sharing this, it’s so nice to read about your experience and love for rope
Thank you! I’ve really been loving your prompts. It hard to know what to do sometimes 🙂
Btw, I’m sure a million pro riggers would love to have a model bunny. Something you could use else where as well maybe. Worth looking into 🙂
I’m so so glad!! I like memes in general because they indeed just spark thoughts rather than that you have to stare at this blank page not knowing what to write about or do lol
How does one find a pro rigger? That sounds really cool!
I’ve seen ads for it on Fetlife, and I’m sure you could advertise there that you’d be willing. Whenever I’ve looked into it, they were in the UK, so not great for me. All of the amazing photos we see online of artistic poses are done by pros (mostly anyway). It would make great material for Fansonly 🙂
When lockdown opens up that might be really interesting!
Loved your post. Mr K is quite adept with some intricate rope work. The small details everywhere are fantastic.
Thank you! He is quite handy 😉
