Wrapped in my Head

The prompt for this weeks #TieMeupTuesday was the Head Cage. MLSlavepuppet provided this tutorial from Two Knotty Boys. This is one of many face and head bondage ties that can be used, but each take a bit of time, so for this go, I stuck to the one. Mister K has been a little busy as well as recovering from a hand injury, so one was enough for me to do solo.

This tie isn’t overly complicated, but tying the Double Coin Knot takes a bit of practice. I tied it 7 times before I got it, but like the saying goes, “it’s like riding a bike”. Once you get it, you’ve got it! Mister K and I have tried this knot for other prompts, such as All Dressed Up, where I use it as a covering for my girly bits.

Doing this one solo meant I had trouble with the ties in the back. As well I was using the damned 100ft rope from All Dressed up and Mermaid Tail. Mister K and I really need to invest in some shorter rope, or just cut the one we have, but most of our rope sessions require a lot of rope, so you use what you have…

This meant that the back was not able to be tied like the tutorial described, but it also meant I could throw a gag bit into the mix.

This cage sits quite nicely around the head, almost forming a halo. I did find the double coin knot to apply a lot of pressure to the forehead as the ropes were tightened along the jaw. I did not do the twists as I would have only been able to do it on one side and I’m glad I didn’t as the tightening of the knot between the eyes would have made it so I could not wear it for long. As it was you can see where the ropes were pushing into my face and wrinkling my forehead (I’m not that wrinkled yet, promise.)

Now that I know to tie this a bit looser than normal, I’m hoping to try it again when Mister K has the time and ability. There are others also from The Twisted Monk that would work well and require less knotting. Maybe in the future, or for another prompt.

Please remember to keep safety scissors on you at all times, and that rope should be snug not tight. Rope can always be replaced, people can’t.

Most importantly, have fun!

  1. It’s a great idea to combine this with a gag! I found that the knot between my eyes gave me a headache, and I didn’t even wear the tie for long. As always, I love your images 🙂

    1. Thanks Marie. That knot was definately not comfortable, but now that i know that, I may try it again with a loosened rope.
The gag was needed to make the tie work, but it turned out so well 🙂

  2. What happened to Mister K’s hand? I hope he recovers soon! I’m kind of relieved to read that you (and we all) seem to have struggled with this knot for a little while. I think you did amazing adding a gag bit. I struggled with the length of my rope and it’s like half of your length so you have magic hands! I get why you wouldn’t be able to wear this for a long time. The people who designed this didn’t really think about headaches!

    1. A workplace accident requiring 7 stitches and a splint. He’ll be as good as new in no time(if he has anything to say about it).
It was a tough tie, but I think I’ll try it again, when I have a shorter tope. Adding the gag was fun though…

I'd love to hear from you!
